I wanted to verify the story and found this article.
This is the example of the prophet, it’s not what he was wearing or how long his beard was that defined his imaan and detachment from selfish pleasures. May Allah make giving easy for us.

A young man stops at a flower shop in between a rushed busy day with his wife & kids shopping, to order some flowers to be sent to his mother who he hasn’t seen for a few months as she lives two hundred miles away.

As he gets out of the car and approaches the shop he noticed a young girl…

    Dua

    O Allah
Enlighten what is dark in me
Strengthen what is weak in me
Mend what is broken in me
Bind what is bruised in me
Heal what is sick in me
Straighten what is crooked in me
And revive whatever peace and love has died in me. Ameen

    What if I told you,

that the One who has loved you,

    did not forget you.

    That He has heard you

    cry for relief, and answers

    in perfect timing?

    When it is darkest

at night, He brings you a Light,

    and holds your hand through.

    And when you have lost

all hope in life, He rescues

    you from depths unknown

There are times where you and I are not given what we what, which makes us upset. We become sad about wishes that didn’t come true, and occasions that takes too long time to happen. We ask impatient why and when will things happen as we want it. But little do we know that we plan and Allah plan, but Allah is the best of all planners! Our minds are not able to see the whole picture. We look only now and here, while Allah ta’ala sees the whole picture. Only He subhanahu wa ta’ala knows what is best for us. What we deserve. What will make us happy. What will make us thankful, and most of all what we need.

It can be anything, from things to people. We are so good at thinking that we want it this way. And not only that, we also think that everything will be perfect if we get it our way. But consider for a moment; maybe if it happened the way we wanted it, it would have made us disappointed and upset. Perhaps if we got it the way we wanted it we would had wished it never happened. Because our minds are not able to see the whole picture. And the more knowledge we gain about something the more we understand, subhanAllah.

We often get attached to things that aren’t supposed to be ours. It is a human thing and also a trick from shaytaan. Because he loves misleading people, and convincing us that we need something or someone. We really have to thank Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala from protecting us from everything that in the first place is bad for us. May we rely only on Him, and focus on the blessings we’ve got rather than what we want.

All praise belongs to Allah.❤️

Anonymous asked: If you have a friend that's gossiping and lying about other people, and even if you don't join in, are you judged for not stopping them? Cuz people hate when you do that. And if I'm too afraid to say stop, is it ok to avoid those people? And Salam Alaikoum. Sorry.

    partytilfajr:

    Wa alykum as-salaam,

You need to do your best, for The Qur’an says:

"O you who have attained to faith! Be ever steadfast in upholding equity, bearing witness to the truth for the sake of God, even though it be against your own selves or your parents and kinsfolk. Whether the person concerned be rich or poor, God’s claim takes precedence over [the claims of] either of them. Do not, then, follow your own desires, lest you swerve from justice: for if you distort [the truth], behold, God is indeed aware of all that you do!” [4:135]

It doesn’t matter what people hate or not, they will respect you for holding onto your values and for standing up for what you believe in, even if they disagree with you. This is the right thing to do.

Imam Baghawi reports the following Hadith:

“If a man’s Muslim brother is slandered in his presence, and he is capable of defending him and does so, God will defend him in this world and in the next. But if he fails to defend him, God will destroy him in this world and the next.”

That being said, even with those who are backbiting, remember this Hadith, which is found in Bukhari, Ibn Majah, where The Prophet is narrated to have said:

“Whoever covers (the sin of) a Muslim, God will cover him (his sin) in this world and in the Hereafter.”

There is a polite way of doing this, do not be overly aggressive, but remember that you are protecting a Muslim from slander, and slander is quite serious from the perspective of The Qur’an.

I know this is uncomfortable, but you must strive to do this, for The Prophet is reported to have said in Abu Dawud:

"The best fighting (jihad) in the path of God is (to speak) a word of justice to an oppressive ruler."

So defend peoples’ honor, and God will defend your’s.

I hope this helps, insha Allah.
